Hi there, I'm a guy who was wondering if there are any guilds out there that cater to the more masculine player base. While I'll be the first to admit that the majority of my manliness has been forfeit by even entertaining the notion of playing this game, I would like to preserve the very last of it by not joining a guild dominated mostly by pre-teen and teen girls. Mostly due to the fact that I doubt we will have very much other than this game in common and thus would have little to converse about. I mean no offense to the more feminine guilds but I feel that I would not be well suited for them. If there are no guilds such as the one I seek, then perhaps we can start one.

I think your best bet is to make your own guild in game and find people of similar interests to join you as you go along. If you want, you can join my guild, FuwaFuwaBushido. (Rough translation: The soft and fluffy way of the warrior) We are dedicated to upholding honorable action and the warrior's code within the HKO community, while still maintaining a friendly and playful attitude. The cuteness of Hello Kitty is tarnished by those who are disrespectful, dishonest, or just plain mean. I hope to cater mainly to an intellectual crowd, but all are free to join. Though if you're looking for anything more "manly" than benevolence and philosophical understanding, this is probably not the kind of guild you're looking for...

Your guild sounds interesting, and I am eager to join. Perhaps I chose the term manly poorly, mature may be a better choice.

The Closed Beta test had quite a large number of mature players, actually... if most return, you should have a good choice of guilds. The (o':'o) guild is another choice, even with its... odd name.

Sorry to intrude this "semi-manly" discussion, because I am obviously not a male hah! ;)
l0x0r, I started the game with the same preconceptions. My previous guild recruited anyone who would join and we ended up with a significant proportion of adults rather than teens!
FuwaFuwaBushido. (Rough translation: The soft and fluffy way of the warrior) << what a great guild name Dazzen! :D Love it!
ripple was MIA. Hahahaha... sheesh it's August already. Time really flies~ * *

Ditto, Ripplecloud.
One night we were building, and the conversation got a bit more adult that I was comfortable with being that all in our guild could see what we were saying, (I think there were 5 of us online at the time.) So I just asked the general, how old is everyone...(thinking I was the oldest...and I WAS.....at the time..) But not one of us was under 20....we just act like it a lot because we've just dived head first into a world of Hello Kitty!! That's kinda the point for me.
I would definately either join the Pika guild who are older and quite a few men (I would recommend the Sailor Scouts...but though there were a couple of guys in our guild...we are all out girly!!)...or create your own called "No tweens allowed"
...though..if the Pika would just JOIN the Sailor Scouts..we would be UNSTOPPABLE!!
Flirting is Mandatory!

Hey, I think it's cool that you're big enough to play this game and not be stereotyped, there are lots of us who are not pre-teen girls for one so don't worry about that! Start the guild by all means!

Hi l0x0r! Well, I definitely understand your concern since this game might leave an impression of being geared towards kids and pre-teen girls. I was a GM during CB and I met a lot of adults in-game, even made friends with a lot of them. Well, it'll be cool if you can create your own guild or join a guild with mostly adults as members. It will be fun, once OB starts, trust me.

When the game reopens I think I might open a guild for GIRLS ONLY.No offense to the guys I would love to have boys there but...
An all girl guild would be VERY fun.We can all gossip and talk about boys.Or we can just chat about girl stuff.Just a hang out where girls can be girls with no boys around.
